Chris Curry (pictured coaching), who has been doing the job of Chairman and Secretary for a number of years, as well as coaching the U16s, will be stepping down from the Committee at the end of the year.
Chris will continue as coach for the U16s and we are all grateful for the work he has done, and continues to do, for the club. There is no doubt the committee will continue to call on his knowledge in the future.
We are pleased to announce that Billie Duddle and Brian Roper (pictured right)are joining the Committee as co-Chairmen.
Billie's association with the club goes back a long time. As he says, 'I started my own football story aged 7 for Chiddingfold FC, then played for local rivals, Milford and Witley, for 20 years When I moved to Chiddingfold 4 years ago, the transition back to the club was inevitable. With a child in the under 8s (who is yet to score) joining the committee of this wonderful club really interested me, particularly as I have recently stepped down as chairman of Witley Cricket Club. Off-season I am also a member of the coaching team at Chiddingfold Cricket Club. I am excited to help progress Chiddingfold Youth FC forward working with Brian, the committee and other members of the club. I want to bring fun and football to all
Brian is already known to many at the club, as assistant coach for the U7s and U9s and with two children playing. He said this, 'I have been involved with Chiddingfold Football Club for a number of years as a player, youth coach and parent of two children currently playing. Watching my daughter score her first goal last year being the highlight so far. I'm excited about the opportunities we have to develop this club further, together with the existing volunteers"
